Relationship Counseling

Jeri Sullivant here, Intern Program Director at Resolve, checking in on all those couples and duos out there!

As if navigating relationships isn’t complicated enough already, we have all experienced a very difficult year that has likely exposed new areas in many of our relationships that need attention and improvement ASAP as we step into 2021. Has your communication with your partner suffered this year? Have you experienced more blow-ups than usual, or perhaps emotionally drifted away from those closest to you as you tried to cope with current events? Are you a parent whose relationship with your child is disintegrating due to constant bickering about new educational expectations? What about fights with parents, siblings, or best friends, regarding differing opinions on politics, Covid-19, vaccinations, masks, etc.? Relationship counseling isn’t just for those in romantic partnerships; connections between mothers and daughters, best friends, fathers and sons, siblings, and more, all need help finding healthier and more meaningful ways to connect with one another. Many of our relationships are running on empty right now, but the therapists at Resolve are here to help.

Friend Counseling

Did you know Resolve has a team of graduate-level counseling interns in their final phase of practice to become licensed clinicians? Because they are still accruing the client service hours needed to become fully licensed, they are able to offer professional-level services at discounted rates. Still completing grad school requirements, these individuals are also receiving the latest and most-updated mental health trainings available. Our graduate counseling interns can work with couples and duos to help both parties identify damaging patterns of behavior and find new ways of connecting and communicating on a more emotional and empathetic level, at a fraction of the cost. These services can help you gain clarity on your needs, feelings, and personal boundaries and help you develop clear and loving ways to express yourself to the people you love. We have also gotten very good at virtual therapy this year, so there can now be a Resolve intern-counselor at your fingertips for support!

So please don’t let finances, quarantine, or misconceptions regarding who can access relationship counseling keep you from the help your relationships need. Give us a call at 913-735-0577 or visit us online to book an appointment today. We hope to help you soon!
