I am delighted you are here! The first step in therapy is acknowledging you want change. With that, I am so proud of you for showing up for yourself. I hold the view that knowledge is power. The more you know about your brain, thoughts, emotions, values and habits, then you know how to pivot (Friends joke lol). In my office, I primarily take a person-centered approach as you are the expert of your own life. I would be honored to take this journey alongside you, meeting you with where you are at, and helping you accomplish your goals. We can do this by creating a healthy lifestyle based on your self-knowledge, strengths, and values.
Play therapy:
Children are the future and I believe early intervention is prevention. Thank you for being here today and seeking support for you and your child. In my work, play is a child's language and the toys are their words. Children communicate through play as they do not have the language to verbalize their emotions/experiences, YET.
It takes a village to raise a child. I would love to be a part of that village as I am trained to provide a safe space for kids to express feelings and process trauma. In the playroom, children can expect to develop coping skills, build confidence, and improve emotional, social, and cognitive growth. I value the parents/caregivers role so will provide you with feedback, psycho-education, guidance, and recommendations to help support your kiddo as needed. Feelings can be confusing, so through play I believe children can grow to become adults who thrive with confidence.
